[presto] Injured in his late teens, Kenelm was a boy of few words before he found himself mute. Now a silent and observant prisoner he's well aware that he likely won't survive a stint in Dead End and so he focuses on maximising his life there. FRIENDS Even in prison Kenelm seeks out allies and friends. Being somewhat awkward and unable to communicate is kind of difficult but if there is a possibility he lacks the social skills to understand to just leave it. Furthermore self preservation is only vaguely high on his list as well, so he'll help a friend out fairly easily. Of course he could easily be manipulated through this. ALL PLOTS OPEN ENEMIES Enemies are the most common associations and Kenelm has these too. Just like friends he's not very good at making them, but his quietness and less violent nature can make him quite annoying. ALL PLOTS OPEN ROMANCE Kenelm has no experience in this area and doubts he'll really have any; not that the idea is anything but a nice one to him. Physical relationships are much the same. KENELM + RAZ i'm so sorry casper & kenelm being mute just means "more opportunities to talk at length" to raz so here have 100% self-obsessed scouser. i feel like raz's own overt and pretty unwise friendliness and unending passion about himself alongside kenelm's more reserved nature could make for a some kind of friendship where awkwardness doesn't end up much of an issue! though there'd certainly be other issues :') like wow sorry cute kenelm going to be being bothered by a someone who is a lying murderer who thinks he is a little god-like but i guess you can't be fussy in a high-security super prison huh? i'm not sure it'd be that close – more a relationship of convenience for raz but more convenience of SOMEONE TO BOAST TO instead of someone to manipulate which kenelm might get otherwise? and kenelm's trusting whereas raz is not but raz will get into sticky shit anyway because he is impulsive and pretty dumb and totally lacks foresight but at any rate… wow the point of this paragraph is just that they are both a li'l unwise and THATS THAT even if they aren't close i think raz would have his back to some degree which is something anyway? but on the other hand raz can be so embarrassingly unreliable unfortunately :^) also out of curiousity how does kenelm communicate? does he know asl because raz knows a li'l bsl but obviously they're not mutually intelligible AND I WAS CURIOUS… but i've written enough as it is, you can tell me what works and what doesn't ahaha. at any rate, i suppose i'm implying something friendly where raz isn't rly interested in taking advantage of kenelm – for now anyway. also poor flirting on raz's end i'm sorry >:u

RAZ

I was totally thinking of how well Raz and Ken would work since Ken won't interrupt a long spew of self-praise or anything like that. I think it'd probably amuse him to listen really, in a therapeutic sort of way. Like it's weird to think of how dangerous Raz is to him (whether or not he knows why he's there) but his attitude is kind of... hard to take entirely seriously. To that end I can see them spending time together sometimes, but it's nothing particularly close.


Kenny would have Raz's back so long as it wasn't too dangerous. He's not much help physically but he'd do what he could without endangering himself; he'd be useful to have around even if it's not intentional. If Raz has his back sometimes that'd make him feel a bit safer but also kind of annoyed because who wants to rely on that guy???


Kenelm knows American Sign Language and I'm fairly sure there are similarities between American and British SL but I'm not sure. (Ironically I only know British so this is gonna be fun!) 

Warning: if Raz knows some sign language he will be bothered by Kenelm sometimes because finding someone in prison who can speak it is probably almost impossible so clingyness may occur sometimes.


SUMMARY: They'd be cool chill out buddies and Kenelm would listen to Raz talk and make faces at him, occasionally SL would be used and it'd be a relaxed sort of friendship with little to no closeness?

ENEMIES! 'Cus who doesn't want enemies in prison? I'm sure there are plenty of ways they can fight and get into trouble and such right? I mean...idk if you want to be friends I'm cool with that too xD it's just Izaya isn't exactly the type to have many friends...more the type that likes having people that do his bidding lol. Anywhooooo, whaddya tink?

....ermm...ermm....i am going to keep this rather short and what not because i can see these two either getting along really well or hating each others guts. frenemies, i guess? she has no idea how to use sign language, but i guess she can try. and if she does learn any, she'll probably be the butt face to say stupid shit most of the time. like 'you are cow doo doo.' Iunno.

IZAYA

Enemies works really well - Izaya sounds like he can be a bit violent, or that sort of thing, sometimes which wouldn't sit well with Kenelm. Their personalities are pretty clashing apart from both being determined and intelligent (Izaya probably more so) which could lead to some interesting encounters. Also Kenelm isn't the best at social interaction so he probably pisses Izaya off without meaning to..

Also it'd be hilarious to see a runty 5 foot-something mute getting angry at Izaya who looks like he could break him in half.


ELY

Frenemies describes what I imagine these two would have fairly well. Ely's not exactly the type he'd be enemies with and at times they'd probably get on quite well, but since they both have short tempers most meetings might end in some sort of flare up. She'd probably not be in much danger from him though?  In some situations he might side with her though - the 'you can't get annoyed with her that's my job' sort of air?
He'd be willing to teach her SL but if she says dumb things she'll probably get on his nerves which could make them fight/argue again... a pretty toxic relationship really..

KENELM + RAZ omg i'm so glad we're on the same page here! well, i'm glad raz's terrible attitude can be at the very least somehow reassuring to kenelm >8) so nothing to be that worried about here in terms of ken's personal safety. indeed who wants to rely on raz but with the whole superpowered prison thing i guess kenelm doesn't have too much room to be picky yeah from what i know asl and bsl aren't mutually intelligible like bsl b/c asl is part of the lsf family SO THAT IS KIND OF AN ISSUE BUT similarities are abound for sure!!! i mean raz can pick up asl finger spelling he'll just be a bit disorientated by the one-handedness and his knowledge is rusty + lil amateurish but they'll work it out!! idk they'll get pidgin-y if they have to ahaha. in fact, tbqh the fact that raz might be one of the few people would probably give him a BIIIIIIIIG ego boost because he's like that and so the clingyness will not be too one-sided?? raz'll keep anything that does that around YESSS. tbqh, with this it could go on from being a bit distanced than but for now THAT SUMMARY SOUNDS GOOD AND WE SHOULD THREAD SOMETIME ALRIGHTY >8)

It probably starts out as Ken tolerating Raz and boosting his ego a bit and then they just wind up becoming friends and they're sort of like 'how did we even manage this' but there's no going back?? It'd be cool to see where they go from just chilling right now~


So I'm 100% down to thread them together, lemme know in the cbox when you're cool and I'll get a starter up? I figure maybe they have cells near each other or something so they hang out there often?
