RASPUTIN “RAZ” RUZICKA
 HISTORY raz is immensely proud of his roots; born in the city of liverpool, england, it's almost immediately obvious that scouser is plain homesick in stravend. it's enough to make one wonder why he was found guilty of three counts of first-degree robbery, six accounts of vehicular theft and two counts of first-degree murder among other charges in chicago, illinois, far, far away from home. yet while he continuously protests his innocence, spoiler alert: raz is far, far away from innocent. he seems to believe his own denials, though, and has already long committed himself to the belief that he'll be back home in kirkdale before you know it. growing up, highlights of raz's childhood include bullying his little brother out of terribly expressed affection and rejecting his father's genuine attempts at parenting. expectedly, raz's bad behaviour distanced himself from other people. his isolation was worsened by xenophobia from his mother's side of the family and a burning feeling of embarrassment grew in raz about an eastern-european dad who supposedly couldn't speak english well enough to find a job. growing apart from his father, instead he ended up closer to his mother's brother. his uncle had little restraint in spoiling raz and and exercised even less restraint in using his enigma powers for his personal benefit. raz's own powers became evident when he was fifteen after a joyride with friends on guy fawkes night turned sour. initially, raz's pyrotechnic projection failed to manifest as something volatile and his powers were mostly aesthetic and unpredictable. if he'd been younger, raz maybe would have been terrified by the mark of something else different about him but by his mid-teens fostered something of a superiority complex. he soon relished what he felt was supremacy over normal people. raz's fall into crime was influenced by his uncle rather than personal ambition, fostering a partnership but an accident by raz that nearly cost his uncle his life. needless to say the partnership that did not last for much longer. regardless, raz dug deeper into illegality and, on immigrating to the us, found a nice nest in organised crime. superpowers have their uses for that – that's the reason places like stravend exist. frankly, with raz's commitment to showing off, it's amazing he didn't get sent there sooner. PERSONALITY + confident adaptable energetic sanguine resolute - egotistical self-centered sanctimonious defensive attention-seeking even a superpowered jail has gotta have a chorus of prisoners chanting miscarriage of justice! self-obsessed and attention-seeing, raz is equally vocal about how he's innocent. with an attitude that will refuse to let you forgot how wrong it is he's being kept there, he's got an overwhelming sense of confidence some might judge entirely misplaced in stravend. it doesn't help that he considers himself morally superior to his fellow inmates, doggedly clinging to the deluded belief that his stay there is only temporary. so far, nothing has convinced him otherwise.
